Caring Rose Week 2026

Caring Rose Week is quickly approaching. In 2026 we’re celebrating its 28th year the week of November 9th-14th!

Why that week? Well, it’s the week prior to Nation Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. The event helps call attention to and provide to those in need, and those who cannot share in Thanksgiving feasting the way many of us do each year—by filling your local food pantries with much-needed supplies during the holiday season.

During Caring Rose Week, you help by exchanging farm-fresh dozen rose bouquets for $10 each (plus tax) plus two non-perishable food items. Work with your local pantry to keep these items in your community when demand for food items is at an all-time high.

To help make the event successful, North American Wholesale Florist provides a few critical items:
- Posters
- Small flyers to hand out with deliveries, carry-out orders, or wherever you find they might work best
- Postcards
- Tabletop signage
- Advertising in your area, either in your local newspaper, a local radio station, or on social media. We want to be sure your community knows about Caring Rose Week!

So, you may be wondering what the ‘catch’ is.
Farm-fresh rose bouquets ship in packages of 20. You can purchase the minimum or go all in, so long as they are purchased by the box.
We know what you’re thinking. “I am only selling these for $10 and 2 non-perishable items. That’s not a lot of margin for me to make a profit on this.”
Well, that’s where you come in.

With the business out of the way, we can talk about the fun part: what you and your shop can and could do for your community and how Caring Rose Week benefits your shop.

Advertise
This is a great way to advertise your shop right before the holidays.
Let your community know you are participating and urge people to help you collect non-perishables before the holidays while also supporting your local business.

Capitalize on Foot Traffic
This is a big one! You already have a guaranteed sale if a customer has visited your store to participate in Caring Rose Week, but it doesn’t have to stop there! Find ways to get them interested in other items you have in your shop, get to know them a bit, get them excited about the upcoming holidays, offer deals on holiday centerpieces, or remind them that they need a wreath for their door. Give them a reason to come back to your shop or invest in a future purchase!

Contact Your Local Media
We do advertise for you, but many television and radio stations, as well as local papers, are happy to promote your event and bring awareness to it for free!

Ask local grocers to display Caring Rose Week posters in their canned goods aisle.

Team up with a local organization near and dear to your heart.
Several florists have found great success in coordinating with area schools. Students are happy to collect food items and pre-sell roses. Some even make it a competition!

At its core, Caring Rose Week is an event with two goals. The first is to help our communities, and the second is to help bring traffic to your store and create opportunities to sell your designs and inventory for the holidays.
We challenge you to name another promotion in which your store receives great publicity at virtually no cost. Caring Rose Week offers you free advertising before the busy holiday season, helping to draw new and old customers through your door.

The success of Caring Rose Week cannot be measured by the week's end.
Your store will continue to reap the benefits of participating throughout the holiday seasons as your store remains fresh and positive in customer minds.
